Coaching someone to leave is a formidable challenge.
How that is done leaves a lasting impact on the person being fired. It takes experience, strength of character, honed interpersonal skills, and mutual respect and trust to achieve the best outcome.
A thank you letter from Ross Perot,
for organizing a huge fundraiser, and leadership working with 100 volunteers.
Some say it's not what you know, it's whom you know. To me, it's not my connections that matter most - it's the mentors who believed in me before I knew what I was doing. Each in their own way taught me to live with intention, to do it right the first time, and to give each shot my very best effort. They dedicated their time to impart their wisdom, and teach me business acumen skills that have served me very well. They led with meaningful values I hope I've passed onto others. Most importantly, they have continued to be my friend over all of these years, from my first job at the age of 15 up to today.
